Wyndham Clark won the U.S. Open on Sunday and, like her many years on Instagram have taught her, his girlfriend Emily Tanner was in the right place at the right time. She ran up to him on the 18th green at Shinnecock and celebrated the win with him.It was Clark’s second U.S. Open win in the last four years. His first after she served as his “good luck charm” at the Masters Par Three Contest earlier this year. After sealing the win over the weekend, he didn’t have to look for her. The moment wasn’t too big for Tanner, who has been on the Screencaps radar for a while now. That radar is a great place to be if you’re on Instagram, like she is, doing your thing too.It was mentioned in Screencaps on Saturday that she deserved to be given some credit for recharging the 32-year-old’s batteries and assisting him back into the win column. It was also predicted by Joe that she was on the verge of becoming golf’s next star.WYNDHAM CLARK’S GIRLFRIEND EMILY TANNER IS TURNING INTO A STAR AT THE US OPEN, ALYSSA MILANO BEGS AGAIN & MEAT That prediction has come true. This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream. Why is there so much excitement about an agreement with Iran that literally resolves none of the key issues that the two sides were fighting about? The long-term status of the Strait of Hormuz is not resolved. The war between Israel and Hezbollah is not resolved. Nobody seems to have any idea where the 300 billion dollar “investment fund” for Iran is going to come from, and none of the nuclear issues that this war was supposedly about in the first place have been resolved either. So what in the world did the “Memorandum of Understanding” actually accomplish? Yes, the “Memorandum of Understanding” is supposed to open up the Strait of Hormuz for a period of 60 days. But as I pointed out a few days ago, Iranian leaders have told us over and over again that once the 60-day period has ended, a “maritime service fee” will be imposed on all ships that travel through the Strait of Hormuz. Any ships that are not willing to pay up will have to face the wrath of the Iranian military. But U.S. officials are telling us an entirely…
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! As the U.S. men’s national soccer team heard the final whistle blow at Lumen Field this past Friday, they also heard thousands in the sold-out crowd cheering and singing following a 2-0 victory over Australia that punched their ticket to the knockout stages of the World Cup.But there was one specific song that rained down from the stands and onto the pitch: “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” famously sang by John Denver. There’s an origin story behind why that song specifically was chosen for the moment where Team USA wins a World Cup match. FIFA actually asked teams to submit potential playlists for warmups, goals and wins. Well, U.S. Soccer said it consulted with the players, as well as those inside the organization, about what songs should ring out from the speakers during matches. The curated list was looking for songs that were both representative of American artists and would be good sing-along tracks for fans in the stands.Among the list were classics like Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer,” Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” and Take Me Home, Country Roads.”Sweet Caroline,” though, is used by England in this tournament, as is the classic…

Nancy Guthrie ransom: Harvey Levin pushes back on reports that note contained apology over her death

MorePresident Donald Trump said Friday that Russia and Ukraine would temporarily halt fighting for three days beginning Saturday, though Ukraine publicly framed the proposed ceasefire more cautiously as part of negotiations over a large-scale prisoner exchange. In separate statements, Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the proposal would include a ceasefire running through May 11 and the exchange of 1,000 prisoners from each country. Trump described the ceasefire as the result of U.S. diplomacy, writing in a Truth Social post that the request “was made directly by me.” He then thanked both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelenskyy for agreeing to the pause in fighting. Zelenskyy, however, framed the agreement around the return of Ukrainian prisoners of war, and he seemed guarded about Russia’s willingness to uphold the ceasefire. “We expect the United States to ensure that the Russian side fulfills these agreements,” he said in a social media post after thanking Trump for his involvement. Ukraine’s skepticism toward the Russian commitment comes amid concerns about Moscow’s alignment with Iran.Last month, a Ukrainian intelligence assessment alleged Russia had shared satellite imagery and cyber support with Tehran to support attacks against the U.S. and other countries. Health authorities across several countries are racing to trace an outbreak of the hantavirus. The overall goal is “containment”, after the World Health Organization (WHO) said Thursday that five confirmed infections had been identified among people connected to the cruise ship MV Hondius. Hantavirus Outbreak Kills 3 On A Cruise Ship According to a report by CNN, three people, a Dutch couple and a German national, have died since the vessel departed Argentina last month. The first suspected case was a 70-year-old Dutchman, who suddenly fell ill on the ship with a fever, headache, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, South Africa’s Health Department told CNN. He died on board on April 11th. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) website, hantaviruses are a family of viruses found around the world that can cause serious illnesses and death. These viruses cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) and hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS). They are spread mainly by rodents. This particular outbreak has been linked to the Andes strain of hantavirus, a rare but potentially severe virus that in some cases can spread between humans through close contact. While at least 30 passengers disembarked at the remote South Atlantic island…

I love minor league sports, and one of the reasons for this is that you could show up for a game, and then suddenly find yourself staring down the barrel of a fever dream.Case in point: Ronald McDonald belting out the national anthem at a minor league baseball game. The Charlotte Knights welcomed the fast-food mascot — no icon to Truist Field, and while we’re all used to seeing Ronald hawking some burgers, it turns out that his pipes are as golden as the arches he represents.I’ve always had a slight case of coulrophobia, but I never had a problem with Ronald. Probably because I’m not scared he’s going to spray seltzer in my face, hit me with the electric joy buzzer or drag me into a primered van and harvest my organs.ORIOLES NATIONAL ANTHEM SPEAKER GOES VIRAL AFTER INTERESTING RENDITION OF ‘THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER’Nope, that grease-painted grease merchant just wants me to eat a cheeseburger. One that will probably put me out of commission for the rest of the afternoon. That makes him a-okay in my book. Now, that happened a few days ago, but the video started going viral later in the week. This is thanks to one video in…
The Department of Defense launched a team of elite private sector businessmen tasked with handling and approving defense contractor negotiations, aimed at fixing the former “broken Pentagon bureaucracy.”Dubbed “Deal Team Six,” the crew is tasked with creating better deals with defense companies to ensure their production of U.S. military equipment is not at the expense of the taxpayer, but that of the contractor, according to a Thursday social media video posted by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.Hegseth claims in the video that for decades, the department allowed contractors to “double-dip” when service members needed weapons, aircraft or ships, charging the taxpayer for factory builds and again for the final product.“Despite paying companies to make weapons faster, scheduled delays were constant and cost overruns were the norm, all while their CEOs got rich,” Hegseth says in the video.Deal Team Six, which is folded inside the Pentagon’s Economic Defense Unit, stood up in early April after it was introduced by Hegseth in a November 2025 memorandum that referred to the unit as a way to modernize contracting and provide incentives and possible penalties to industry partners. Hegseth has sought to revamp the defense industrial base by scrapping the Defense Acquisition System and…
When it comes to talent acquisition, there are two split camps regarding which method is better. While I would personally prefer to build a program through high school recruiting, there are still plenty of arguments to be made for building through the transfer portal.Programs like Ole Miss, Texas Tech, and, of course, Indiana were able to make playoff runs in 2025 off the backs of strong transfer portal classes, and if you are looking to make a quick fix to your roster, the portal is the answer. With all that in mind, this past portal period was one of the most active in recent memory, with several high-profile players moving on to new locales.FIVE SEC TRAP GAMES IN 2026 THAT COULD UPEND THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF RACE, FROM LSU TO GEORGIABelow, I’ll identify five players who transferred to different programs and will be key contributors to their new teams’ success.Keep your eyes peeled for these players to become household names by the end of the year (if they aren’t already).5. NEW DELHI — India is pressing ahead with a $9 billion infrastructure project to bolster its military footprint on the Great Nicobar Island which sits far from the Indian mainland near one of the world’s most critical shipping arteries. The project is attracting attention as disruptions to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, following the U.S.-Iran-Israel conflict brings focus to other vulnerable maritime chokepoints. The Malacca Strait, a narrow stretch of water passing between Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, is the shortest route between the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea. Jointly managed by these three countries, it carries more than a quarter of global sea trade. It is particularly crucial for China because a bulk of its maritime trade including nearly three quarters of its imported crude oil supplies transits these waters.Part of India’s far-flung Andaman and Nicobar archipelago, the Great Nicobar island lies closer to Indonesia than the Indian mainland and has long been eyed as a potential defense outpost in the Indo Pacific and a gateway to the Malacca Strait. It is located about 150 kilometers from the strait’s western entrance. An infographic titled “Strategic maritime chokepoints in global oil trade” created in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 18, 2025.
