Benchmade has brought their recently released manual folder the Lowden into the Gold Class for the first time. This highly limited version of the Lowden ramps up the detail work and turns the design into something worth of being put on the display shelf. The Lowden made its first appearance in Benchmade’s 2025 catalog at the beginning of 2025 – but at that time it had no name, and no actual physical prototype. Needless to say, the unusual circumstances really heightened interest in the piece, so that by the time it actually dropped last August, the knife community was ready. The knife took visual cues from traditional switchblade design, but implemented them in a fully modern, EDC-friendly package, which allowed it to occupy its own little niche within the Benchmade catalog. The brass component has been polished so that it really pops A little less than a year later and the Lowden is being inaugurated into the Gold Class. The most striking element here is the handle, which, unlike the one on the standard Lowden, is skeletonized, with two fuller-like cutouts on each handle scale. Furthermore, it’s made not from aluminum, but titanium with carbon fiber inlays and a brass…

The White House took aim at former President Barack Obama ahead of Friday’s grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center, contrasting President Donald Trump’s government construction projects to the 44th president’s.”President Trump continues to implement long-overdue and necessary renovations to beautify Washington, D.C., and our nation’s treasured monuments as we approach our historic 250th anniversary of independence. Thanks to the Builder-in-Chief, these projects are being completed on time and under budget — a stark contrast to the errantly run Obama administration, which overspent and underdelivered,” White House spokesman Davis Ingle told Fox News Digital when asked for comment about the museum. The Obama Presidential Center, which opens to the public Friday following a decade of planning and construction, has faced scrutiny over rising costs, construction delays and public infrastructure spending. The White House seized on those criticisms as Trump promotes a series of renovation and construction projects.”President Trump is ensuring our nation’s capital will be properly honored and maintained in excellent condition for generations to come,” Ingle added.BUREAUCRATS HIDE TRUE PRICE OF OBAMA PRESIDENTIAL CENTER AS TAXPAYERS HIT WITH INFRASTRUCTURE BILL An Obama Presidential Center Dedication held Thursday featured a slew of former…

The U.S. Air Force has cleared its first Collaborative Combat Aircraft to enter production, awarding contracts to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and Anduril Industries. Six companies will compete on the autonomous software that will fly them. The Air Force made the announcement Wednesday, saying it reached the decision four months ahead of schedule. The contracts went to General Atomics for its FQ-42A and Anduril for its FQ-44A, as part of CCA Increment 1.The two aircraft were previously designated the YFQ-42A and YFQ-44A. Dropping the Y prefix signals their shift from prototype to production.Often referred to as “loyal wingmen,” CCA are jet-powered, semi-autonomous unmanned aircraft built to fly alongside crewed fighters such as the F-35 and the planned F-47, extending their sensors and weapons while taking on risk that would otherwise fall to pilots. “Collaborative Combat Aircraft change how we project power and generate mass in highly contested environments,” Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Ken Wilsbach said in the release. “Delivering this capability to our warfighters faster ensures our forces maintain the tactical edge required to deter and, if necessary, defeat any adversary.”The Air Force is committing to a large CCA fleet, though it won’t happen all at once. This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream.  What good is a ceasefire extension if nobody is upholding the terms of the current ceasefire? Honestly, can someone please explain that to me? There have been military clashes between the United States and Iran three times already this week. Meanwhile, fighting between Israel and Hezbollah is even more intense than it was before the original ceasefire agreement with Iran was signed. So if the current ceasefire agreement has been unable to stop the fighting, why should we believe that a 60-day extension of that ceasefire agreement will get the job done? We are being told that the 60-day ceasefire extension will require Iran to allow free passage through the Strait of Hormuz. That would be wonderful. But we were also told the exact same thing about the original ceasefire agreement. At the time, President Trump boldly proclaimed that Iran had agreed to allow commercial vessels to freely travel through the Strait of Hormuz. Of course, that never happened. But we are supposed to believe that Iran really means it this time? Give me a break. The Iranians know that it will probably take them…

The M1A has an impressive lineage. Based on a design dating back to the 1930s and born from the prodigious mind of John C. Garand, the M1A has many of the hallmarks of his M1 Garand rifle. However, it is even more closely tied to the M14, the rifle developed as the successor to Garand’s classic military rifle. And while the M14’s reign as the U.S. military service rifle may have technically been short, its influence and capabilities have carried on well beyond its official role as a front-line military rifle. In fact, the spirit of this select-fire combat rifle carried on in the semi-automatic-only M1A rifle from Geneseo, Illinois’ Springfield Armory, which has continuously produced the rifle since 1974. You can see some of the abuse the rifle took during the testing from just the brass impact marks on the operating rod alone. But how does the M1A stand up to the original M14 rifle? Does it have the capabilities and — possibly even more important — the durability of its military sibling? As the M14 came from an era of rugged strength and durability, as well as the use of wood and steel, the M1A has a lot to live up to. A Fascinating Find…

As controversy surrounding Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner continues to mount, attention is turning to a little-known provision of Maine law that could allow Democrats to replace him on the general election ballot after the primary. The question has taken on new significance because Maine election law provides a mechanism for replacing a nominee who withdraws after winning a primary.Under Maine law, a candidate who wins the June 9 primary and subsequently withdraws by 5 p.m. on July 13 may be replaced by a nominee selected by party officials. Any replacement candidate must be chosen no later than 5 p.m. on July 27. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Pope Paul VI’s 1968 encyclical Humanae vitae covers a variety of themes, both theological and anthropological, and has proved to be remarkably prophetic, and yet it is still, in the minds of most people, simply the “birth control” encyclical. Similarly, Pope Francis’s 2015 encyclical Laudato Si’ ranges across a number of topics and provides a trenchant analysis of the philosophy that dominates the modern world, and yet, for most, it is simply the “global warming” encyclical. I am a bit afraid that something similar might happen to Pope Leo XIV’s Magnifica Humanitas, for it is already being characterized as the “AI encyclical.” But to reduce this extraordinary text to that single theme would be regrettable indeed. Leo does, of course, discuss AI, and with remarkable insight, but there is so much more going on in this letter, and it should not be overlooked. The best framework for understanding the text is the title. Pope Paul VI famously said that the Church is an expert in humanity, and the Vatican II document Gaudium et spes commences with the reminder that the Church is concerned with all dimensions of human experience. One of the last…
