NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! New York City is expanding the use of small street activity sensors that count pedestrians, cyclists, buses and vehicles. The city says the goal is safer street design, better traffic planning and a clearer picture of how people actually use roads. That may sound like a very New York story. However, it is really a sign of where many U.S. cities could be headed.Across America, towns and cities are trying to solve the same problems. Drivers speed through busy corridors. Pedestrians cross where there is no crosswalk. Cyclists squeeze past parked cars. Buses get stuck in traffic. City leaders often have to make expensive safety decisions with limited data. Now, sensors can watch those patterns all day and all night.HOW SURVEILLANCE TECH LED POLICE TO ACCUSE THE WRONG PERSON The promise is safer streets. The concern is privacy. Disasters don’t wait and hit when it’s convenient. They don’t care if you’re miles from your car, halfway through a hike, or just grabbing lunch with nothing on you but your wallet and phone. Whether it’s an earthquake, a sudden storm, or some other emergency, your bug out bag won’t do you much good when all you have is whatever’s in your pockets. That’s the idea behind the survival keychain. It’s a collection of small, lightweight tools you can carry with you wherever you go. Obviously, it’s no substitute for a bug out bag, but it makes a great backup when nothing else is available. I recently came across a video on the Youtube channel, Iridium242, where he shows off his survival keychain and explains what tools it includes and why. You can watch it below, but I also typed up everything in his list and included a few ideas of my own at the end. Want to save this post for later? Click Here to Pin It On Pinterest! 1. Compact Rechargeable Flashlight The light featured in the video is the Olight i1R EOS, a tiny keychain-sized flashlight with two brightness settings: low and high. It comes with a…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Vice President JD Vance’s wife Usha revealed that conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination last year ultimately influenced their family’s decision to have a fourth child.Vance and his wife appeared on “CBS News Sunday Morning” to discuss Vance’s upcoming book “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.” In Vance’s book, he described sitting with Kirk’s wife Erika on the day of Kirk’s assassination in September, where she told Usha “between sobs” that she “regretted having only two kids with Charlie.”Vance wrote that, although they had discussed having another child before, “something changed” for both himself and Usha after Kirk’s death.ERIKA KIRK REFLECTS ON LIFE, LOSS AND FAITH IN FIRST TV INTERVIEW SINCE CHARLIE KIRK’S DEATH “I think it really heightened JD’s sense that he’d been talking about this for a while, this sense that there was this possibility of having another kid whom he could love as much as the three that we had,” Usha said. She continued, “It really did crystallize for [him], that sense that if you could have that other child, then you would have nothing to regret. And if we couldn’t have that other child, then we were very happy…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Monday begins a week of celebration for those in the Tri-State area in the U.S. For New York Knicks fans, it’s reveling in the team snapping a 53-year title drought with a Game 5 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. For those who are Knicks fans and pro wrestling fans, it’s praise for Danhausen, whose “uncursing” of the franchise may have led to that very championship.Danhausen was everywhere during the week. He was on “SportsCenter” and crashing Pat McAfee’s simulcast of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. His face was printed on T-shirts in the WWE Shop. And now, his face could be on a float or a blimp in middle of the Canyon of Heroes when the Knicks celebrate their championship later this week.ZERO BS. JUST DAKICH. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! As America marks its 250th anniversary next month, the nation finds itself in a moment of deep civic uncertainty. Americans sense that something essential is slipping away — a shared understanding of who we are and what we stand for.Our universities now debate whether equality is a universal truth or merely a product of its time. Public institutions hesitate to defend the natural‑rights philosophy that justified the American Revolution. Even the idea of a common national creed feels fragile.Yet amid this cultural confusion, one Supreme Court justice has spent more than three decades insisting that the Declaration of Independence still means exactly what it says — and that the country cannot survive without its moral framework.PROTECTING THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE IN OUR 250TH YEARJustice Clarence Thomas, now the Court’s second‑longest‑serving member, has long argued that the Declaration is not ceremonial rhetoric. It is the republic’s foundational statement of political principle. That view may be unfashionable in elite institutions, but it is exactly how the Founders understood the document.Thomas Jefferson called the Declaration “an expression of the American mind.” Abraham Lincoln famously described it as the “apple of gold,” with the Constitution serving…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! A Hollywood executive who spent nearly two decades helping American studios break into China’s film market now says the industry has become too dependent on Beijing — and says his latest movie shows how things can turn around.Chris Fenton, a veteran producer who worked to bring major releases such as “Iron Man 3” to Chinese audiences, later became an outspoken critic of Hollywood’s reliance on China, writing about his concerns in his 2020 book, “Feeding the Dragon.””We were really at the trailblazing, pivotal spot in terms of collaborating with that superpower and bringing in a product and service which had never been in that market before in any sort of serious monetizable way,” Fenton told Fox News Digital. “And we did that for well over a decade during really the glory days between the U.S. and China in terms of the entertainment business.” TRUMP TRIES TO SAVE HOLLYWOOD WITH 100% TARIFF ON FOREIGN-PRODUCED FILMS, BUT INSIDERS SAY INDUSTRY IS ‘DYING’Fenton began to realize this relationship came at a cost. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Since the triumphant return of President Trump in November 2024 — and it was a triumph, with Trump winning all seven swing states and the popular vote — the Democrats have reacted by lurching hard left, electing a radical mayor in New York City, attempting to take purple Virginia far left with a crazy gerrymandered Congressional map (which was struck down by the state’s Supreme Court as unconstitutional), and on Tuesday nominating radical (and deeply troubled) Graham Platner as their candidate in Maine to face off against the moderate and widely admired Senator Susan Collins, Chair of the Senate’s powerful Appropriations Committee.Radical candidates are expected to emerge as the party’s Senate nominees in Michigan and Minnesota as well. The “Democratic Socialists of America” hostile takeover over the shattered glass of the Democratic Party seems inevitable. With the Democrats at best in an internal civil war between socialists and far-left liberals, which way will a post-President Trump GOP turn?DOUG SCHOEN: DEMOCRATIC BATTLE PITS MODERATES VS. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Even if you’re sick of hearing about Jeffrey Epstein – and who among us hasn’t felt that way at times – President Donald Trump and his team have been far more fixated on the relentless controversy than they have ever acknowledged. That (and plenty of other juicy revelations) is based on three years of reporting for a forthcoming book. “Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump” is by New York Times correspondents Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan and slated to be published in two weeks.Whether you’re a Trump supporter or detractor, the book is packed with facts that make clear that most or all of the major participants cooperated with them. The president also granted Haberman and Swan an hour-long interview in March. One major takeaway: Even as Trump and White House officials repeatedly tried to dismiss the endless brawl, which stems from Trump’s long-ago friendship with the late pedophile and sex offender, as old or irrelevant news, they repeatedly met in the Situation Room to try to manage the crisis.WHY MELANIA TRUMP IS DENYING ALLEGED SMEARS RELATED TO JEFFREY EPSTEIN–AND WANTS VICTIMS TO TESTIFY In the initial meetings, Vice President JD…

These days, upgrading your AR-15 trigger is easy, but is it always a good idea?Back in the not-so-good old days, triggers for ARs were crappy. All we had were mil-surplus parts or whatever Colt deigned to send us. The mil-spec was “anything under 7 or 8 pounds was good, anything under 6 was unsafe.”So, of course, we went through all kinds of work to improve triggers. Now? Really, you have to ask?Triggers now come in two types and two flavors (I’m leaving out the forced-reset triggers because I’m not a fan): “packet” triggers and parts triggers.Plug and PressPacket triggers (sometimes called “cassette or drop-in triggers) are complete assemblies that you insert into your lower after you’ve removed the original parts. The hammer, trigger and disconnector are in the “box” or packet, and you install it as-is. The advantage is that since the packet is assembled by the maker, they can set the trigger pull to as clean and crisp as it can be and know that you won’t be messing with it. Also, the vagaries of trigger and hammer pin hole locations won’t mess up their work.Packet triggers go into your lower as an assembled unit. You don’t take them apart—ever.…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The New York Knicks outscored the San Antonio Spurs by 28 points after the Wu-Tang Clan’s halftime performance to complete the largest comeback in NBA Finals history.Down by 29 at one point, the Knicks stormed all the way back, putting Madison Square Garden into a frenzy. But before that, just about every ounce of momentum was in the Spurs’ hands – and the Knicks had few answers. So, how did they just become the victims of one of the greatest collapses in the history of sports?”We clearly weren’t the most hungry in the second half,” Victor Wembanyama admitted.Wembanyama was once again Public Enemy No. 1 in New York, getting booed in intros and treated to expletives from the crowd. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The New York Knicks do not die. After trailing by as many as 29, the Knicks had yet another comeback — this one perhaps the greatest of all-time, to steal a 107-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs and take a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. The winning moment came at the fingertip of OG Anunoby, whose tip-in off a missed Jalen Brunson three-pointer put Madison Square Garden in an absolute frenzy. But it sure was a grind to get to that point. Karl-Anthony Towns was hit with two fouls in just the first 62 seconds of the game, one which the Knicks faithful were not happy with. And while there was plenty of ball left after that, the game changed from that moment. The refs certainly did not help the case, but the Spurs opened the game on a 41-20 run, mostly while Towns was off the floor. Combine that with the team knocking down 54% of its three-pointers in the first half, and you have a 76-49 Spurs lead at halftime, and they got up to a 29-point lead. But we’ve learned to never count out New York. As they cut the deficit to…

close Video Anyone watching this NBA Finals could have told you this was coming for Victor Wembanyama.
