Jay-Z did not have to look too long and hard for the performer for this year’s Super Bowl halftime performance, as the 25-time Grammy Award winner has reportedly selected himself to take the stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., just outside of Los Angeles.
According to Puck News, Jay-Z has given the nod to himself over Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, who were reportedly considered to be finalists to get the gig for the halftime show for Super Bowl LXI. TMZ previously reported that Harry Styles was also among frontrunners for February’s halftime performance.
Jay-Z and his entertainment company, Roc Nation, have been the producers and decision-makers of the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019.
