NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Bill Maher, host of HBO’s “Real Time,” had a message for Democrats looking to spoil the upcoming America 250 celebration over their distaste for President Donald Trump: Don’t be so petty. Referring to the 2024 Democratic National Convention, which featured many American flags, he argued, “You can’t take back the flag in an hour if the rest of the time you treat patriotism as something vaguely embarrassing.” Maher’s closing commentary on Friday came as the country is ramping up for its annual Fourth of July celebration, with Trump vowing to go big this year for America’s 250th anniversary. Despite the festivities, many Democrats are refusing to participate in the fun, citing their unhappiness with Trump as the primary catalyst — a decision Maher blasted Friday night while taking jabs at both sides.DEMOCRATS PROJECT DOOM AND GLOOM, NOT CELEBRATION, WITH JULY 4 MESSAGES “I’m not saying Trump doesn’t want to muddy the distinction between himself and the country,” Maher said. “He sure as s— does.” “That’s what wannabe authoritarians do,” he continued. “They try to blur the line. Don’t be an accomplice.” The TV host condemned the liberal argument that the country should not be celebrated just because…
In 1937, the Curtiss SBC Helldiver entered service, but even at that point, the carrier-based two-seat scout/dive bomber was on the verge of being obsolete. Yet, it became the primary dive bomber in service at the end of the Second World War, with its success attributed as much to the skill and bravery of the pilots as to the aircraft. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! For months, senior Trump administration officials argued that Iran’s ballistic missile arsenal helped shield Tehran’s nuclear ambitions and was a key reason the U.S. launched Operation Epic Fury attacks on the country. Now, President Donald Trump is suggesting Iran having missiles may not be a problem at all.”If other countries have them, it’s a little bit unfair for them not to have some. If Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and they all have some, I would say that in relative proportion, I think it’s okay,” Trump said at the G7 Wednesday. “Am I going to let Saudi Arabia have missiles, but [Iran] can’t have them? It doesn’t work that way.” “Missiles aren’t the problem. They hurt a little location, but they don’t blow up the planet.””The Gulf nations will address the nonnuclear issues, as we’ll be talking about the ballistic missiles,” the president added. “And we’ll talk, also, about the terrorist proxies that they have that — we don’t want that to happen.” ISRAELI OFFICIALS REPORTEDLY WARN IRAN’S BALLISTIC MISSILES COULD TRIGGER SOLO MILITARY ACTION AGAINST TEHRANTrump made the remarks while discussing whether Iran should be permitted to retain missile capabilities in a news conference…

American Action Network invested $37 million, highlighting how conservative policies deliver real relief,” Chris Winkelman, AAN’s president, said in a statement to Fox News Digital. The renewed spending further solidifies affordability as a key issue that is expected to play a pivotal role in the 2026 midterms. While inflation has risen in recent months, AAN believes that Republicans can continue to press the affordability message as an effective way to reach voters and have highlighted the issue in several ads, narrowing in on the work Republicans have done through Trump’s signature One Big Beautiful Bill.PENCE LAUNCHES GOP MESSAGING BLITZ ON ‘ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL’ AHEAD OF MIDTERMS The group has been advancing messaging on the bill since it was passed in July of last year.”The American comeback is here. MoreNEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! More than 30 years after an Illinois mother was found beaten to death in a rural field, authorities on Tuesday announced murder charges against a 70-year-old suspect in a cold case that investigators said never stopped haunting the community or the victim’s family.Albert L. Zigler, 70, of Caseyville, Illinois, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the 1993 killing of Randy Gail Sperino, 34.In 1993, Sperino was bludgeoned to death and her body was dumped in a field in unincorporated Granite City, Illinois. DNA INNOVATION CREDITED IN IDAHO, RACHEL MORIN CASES SIGNALS SHIFT IN RACE TO CATCH KILLERS, LAB FOUNDER SAYSInvestigators recovered DNA from the scene, but no matches were identified in Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), according to a report from local outlet KMOV. Othram, a Texas-based genealogy company, recently identified Zigler as the suspect.Despite the passage of more than three decades, investigators said sufficient evidence was developed to support the charges against Zigler. Wes Sperino, Randy Sperino’s son, told the outlet he never thought an arrest would be made. “I thought I might pass and never know, but that all changed thanks to these guys behind me and to…
U.S. Special Operations Command is looking to build a new testing ground for drones in Mississippi as the Pentagon grapples with ever-evolving autonomous technology that has come to define modern warfare. The project would expand existing test ranges at NASA’s Stennis Space Center to facilitate air, sea and ground-based drones, according to a notice posted this month. The effort reflects how wars in Ukraine and the Middle East have forced the U.S. military to hone in on how emerging autonomous technology will shape future fights. The solicitation calls for industry, academic and national laboratories to build what the notice calls an “Autonomous Warfare Proving Ground,” that includes electromagnetic capabilities and could eventually prepare the military for operations stretching from “seabed to low earth orbit.”Located near the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the Stennis Space Center already supports rocket testing and military research thanks to a large restricted airspace, access to waterways and relative isolation. The announcement comes amid growing concern that the U.S. military is not moving fast enough to keep pace with the innovation driving autonomous warfare. The Pentagon has also admitted that gaps in counter-drone technology have left troops vulnerable during the U.S.’s war with Iran, where Iran’s attritable, low-cost unmanned systems…
Angel Reese has a new team, a better record and, apparently, the same old offensive problem. The Atlanta Dream are off to a strong start after acquiring Reese from the Chicago Sky in what qualified as a blockbuster WNBA trade. Atlanta is 4-1, owns the best record in the league as of Wednesday afternoon, and Reese is doing what Reese generally does: grabs rebounds, generates attention and averages a double-double. She is averaging 12.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists this season.ANGEL REESE BECOMES FASTEST PLAYER IN WNBA HISTORY TO REACH 50 CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLES IN DREAM DEBUTBut the shooting numbers are still ugly.A shooting breakdown went viral on X, highlighting that Reese has yet to make a single basket from beyond 5 feet. OutKick confirmed the shooting stats via the WNBA’s official statistics page. That’s not ideal.Actually, it’s worse than not ideal. It’s a major issue for a 6-foot-4 forward whose value is supposed to be built around production near the rim. Now, to be fair, Reese does some things well. She rebounds. She plays hard (at least in the fourth quarter). She gives Atlanta a physical presence. She clearly brings media and fan attention to a franchise that wanted more of it.But…
The United States will need at least three years to restore an array of critical weapons systems to prewar levels following its 38-day bombing campaign against Iran, according to the Center for Strategic International Studies. The new analysis, released on Wednesday, warned that depleted inventories have “created a window of vulnerability for a potential Western Pacific conflict. The time needed to rebuild those inventories has thus become a major concern.”However, the authors acknowledged that the U.S. “has enough munitions for any plausible scenario in the Iran war.”U.S. Central Command said more than 12,000 targets were hit during Operation Epic Fury, which CSIS found significantly drew down America’s stockpiles of Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAM), as well as two vital interceptors: the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) and the Patriot. The think tank, a bipartisan policy research organization, estimates that more than 1,000 Tomahawk missiles were launched, far exceeding the average annual procurement of 86 over the past decade – and that replenishment could take until 2030 or 2031. It also determined that up to 290 THAAD interceptors were used, with those reserves returning to prior levels only by mid-to-late 2029. The Pentagon has not publicly disclosed the scale of munitions…
The recently appointed commander of Hamas’ military wing, Mohammed Odeh, has been killed in an airstrike in Gaza, the Israeli authorities have claimed. Israel claimed that Odeh was eliminated less than two weeks after the assassination of his predecessor. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday that Odeh was “sent to meet his partners in the depths of hell.” “We pledged to eliminate everyone who led the October 7 massacre… They are all marked for death, everywhere,” Katz wrote on X. The announcement of Odeh’s death comes just 11 days after the killing of his predecessor, Izz al-Din al-Haddad. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue to carry out attacks on specific targets in Gaza despite a United States-brokered ceasefire being in place in the Palestinian enclave since October 2025, according to a report by RT. Ceasefire agreements have meant very little, if anything at all, to Israel as of late. Israel Continues Strikes On Lebanon, Despite Ceasefire The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement on Wednesday that Odeh “was responsible for the murder, abduction, and wounding of many Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers.” This was likely said in an attempt to justify the death of Odeh.…

Transgender athlete Becky Pepper-Jackson won a girls’ state championship in West Virginia this week, before the U.S. Supreme Court could make a ruling on whether the state can ban Pepper-Jackson from competing against females.Pepper-Jackson took first place for Bridgeport High School in the Class AAA state title with a personal best of 38 feet, 11.75 inches. The second-place winner, Paislee Babiczuk, of John Marshall, finished more than two feet shorter, only managing 36 feet 11 inches. Pepper-Jackson’s eligibility to compete in girls’ competitions in West Virginia has been a point of high-stakes legal contention dating back to 2021, when the state passed a bill that prevents biological males from competing in girls’ sports. Pepper-Jackson sued and successfully challenged the law, gaining entry into girls’ competitions throughout high school, before the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the case.Pepper-Jackson’s attorneys at ACLU delivered oral arguments to the Supreme Court justices on Jan. 13. But with no ruling expected until June, Pepper-Jackson was left to continue competing throughout the athlete’s high school season.Pepper-Jackson has now earned state champion status in dominant fashion, after the athlete’s own lawyers at the ACLU argued that males don’t have a competitive advantage over females, with ACLU…
The U.S. Navy has announced a new pilot program that will seek to provide sailors with healthier culinary options and more avenues to use their meal entitlements. The service is launching its shore food service transformation initiative at Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, Mississippi, and Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, Washington, with the goal of expanding its reach to other installations if the implementation proves successful.“By providing our sailors with high-quality, nutritious food and top-tier wellness resources, we are directly investing in their physical and mental resilience,” said Vice Adm. Next week, large scale manufacturers, small custom shops, dealers, and enthusiasts will all mix and mingle in Atlanta for Blade Show 2026. The first thing that comes to mind with Blade (’round these parts, anyway) is the new knives. Along with SHOT Show in the winter, Blade is one of the two big stages for production companies to unveil their next round of models. Some history-making models stepped into the world’s view at Blade Show, and there’s no reason to expect this year will be any different; we’ll be here to cover all the major developments as they come in. Then, of course, there are the awards. Doled out in both production and custom divisions, these are a show staple and a great way to add production pieces to your wishlist, and monitor the latest work from both rising stars and living legends on the custom scene. If your the kind of knife nerd who wants to try out every new lock or deployment method, we particularly suggest keeping an eye peeled for the winner in Most Innovative. Last but not least is Blade U, the many seminars, workshops, and classes hosted over the Blade Show weekend. This year there…
Tuesday was just a 1-1 day, nothing special, but also not a complete disaster. One of the things I love most about baseball is that we get to bet on it daily. Not only do we bet on it daily, but we also have a chance to read individual series.Unlike every other sport, where it is typically just one game outside of the playoffs, the mini-series gives us a chance to get a read on team performances. It doesn’t take much of a glance to see that the Chicago Cubs are in a terrible spot right now. They have lost their past 10 games. A little more than a week ago, the team was 29-16. It is worse than that, though. They have lost 14 of their past 16 games. So far in May, the team has gone 10-14. That means they’ve lost more games this month than they did all of March and April combined. It isn’t just one problem — their pitching is an issue due to health (mostly), but their hitting has disappeared as well.Over their 14 losses, the team has scored over three runs just twice. The Cubs have 28 runs over those 14 losses. Since May…
