It appears that James Dolan’s pre-playoff speech had an impact on Mike Brown. The New York Knicks’ head coach showed up to Thursday’s ticker-tape parade to celebrate the team’s NBA title, rocking a t-shirt with ’10 Weeks’ written on the back of it. The word ‘Sacrifice’ was seen under the Knicks’ logo across the front of his shirt. The shirt is in reference to the Knicks’ owner’s lengthy speech he delivered to the team before the NBA playoffs got underway about making a 10-week sacrifice. One of the sacrifices Dolan mentioned in his speech was staying abstinent. “I had this idea that maybe you should give up sex for the next 10 weeks,” Dolan told the Knicks on April 3. “You don’t have to give up sex for the next 10 weeks, but like Spartans — do you know what Spartans are? — they denied themselves to gain an edge. Lawmakers must soon hammer out the differences in their proposals for fiscal 2027 military pay raises, as the Senate has rejected the Trump administration’s request for higher, tiered pay raises — a proposal agreed to by a House committee. The Senate Armed Services Committee has proposed a flat 3.6% pay raise for all troops, instead of the administration’s request for raises between 5 to 7%, depending on pay grade. The proposal passed by the House Armed Services Committee aligned with the administration’s request. Under that measure, junior enlisted service members would receive larger percentages of raises. Those in pay grades E-5 and below would get a 7% raise in 2027; those in grades E-6 through O-3 would get a 6% raise; and those in grades O-4 and above would get 5%. The Senate Armed Services Committee “recognizes the importance of maintaining competitive compensation for members of the Armed Forces and notes that Congress enacted a targeted 14% pay increase for junior enlisted service members” in 2025, the senators wrote in their report accompanying the proposed legislation. In explaining senators’ reasoning for the lower pay raises, they noted that the Defense Department’s Fourteenth Quadrennial Review of Military Compensation, released in early 2025, had…
Charred lodgepoles scratching a gunmetal sky reflected my mood. This morning the elk had won. No plan in mind, I climbed beyond where they’d scattered. Probing the slope’s crest from the sit with my binocular, I saw it. Among ranks of black boles with low-arcing limbs, a branch curved up. The lenses of my 7×35 Bausch & Lomb resolved it. Antler! A 4 o’clock tangle became the bull’s hump — all but hidden by the bead on my .32 Special. After the carbine spoke I scaled the scarp and found blood on hoof-gashed snow. The elk lay 50 yards on. Stay low to glass, even briefly, to reduce your profile and steady the bino — preferably with two hands. To see better afield, you need a binocular. (Yes, binocular. Singular. Bi refers to its two barrels. A pair of binoculars serves no purpose unless you have four eyes.) Animals meet the hunter’s eye as patches of non-reflective earth-tones, bone and muscle melding texture with shadow. Iran has declared victory over the United States. The newly signed memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran is a diplomatic victory for Tehran and a “record of US failure.” Iran has also pointed out that the US ruling class has failed to accomplish any of its goals and military objectives, while regular Americans watched the price of fuel skyrocket as their bills became harder to pay. The 14-point document was signed remotely by President Donald Trump and his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, late on Wednesday and immediately entered force, according to Pakistani mediators, according to a report by RT. Iran has emphatically stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen “toll-free” as Trump has claimed. Trump Claims A Peace Deal Will Be Signed TODAY & Strait Of Hormuz Will Be Open To All “I emphasize again that the Strait of Hormuz will never return to the previous conditions,” Iran’s parliament speaker and chief negotiator in talks, Mohammad Ghalibaf, said. “Iran has the right to sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, and of course, we will receive a fee for services.” Giving Iran Permanent Control Of The Strait Of Hormuz Will Be A Disaster For The Global Economy Tehran…
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The NFL is facing two major issues as the 2026 season approaches: how fans are watching the games, and the ongoing discussion of playing surfaces. The former has been the subject of controversy, so much so that there was a hearing earlier this month regarding the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961, as fans are paying up the wazoo to watch games exclusively on streaming sites.Former NFL tight end-turned-FOX analyst Greg Olsen, however, understands that the league is a money-making business. “I get it. From a high-level, nonbiased perspective, I understand it. I understand the frustrations and why this conversation is out there. The amount of different streamers and subscriptions, and I need to have cable to go along with my cable. I get all of that — I’m also a realist,” Olsen said recently to Fox News Digital.”While I may not have designed it this way and may not always agree with it, I do believe that we just have to operate within the rules in which we’re all living. This is the modern era, and I think people are going to adjust. I think networks are going to pivot and adjust, I…
With any air left in lungs likely heaving from adrenaline, the crew members may have blown bubbles, feeling which way the small pockets of air traveled against their face. Submerged in darkness and feeling around a cockpit becoming a watery tomb, the direction of the bubbles may have told the disoriented helicopter crew the direction of the only thing that mattered: up. An attack helicopter went down off the coast of Oman this month after a Shahed drone engaged with the aircraft. Though the Pentagon said that its two crew members were rescued by an unnamed surface vessel hours later, public details surrounding the incident remain sparse. The military’s investigation may ultimately determine what happened between the Apache and drone, but for experts and analysts, the event is a snapshot into how warfare is changing: attack helicopters, once the apex predators of the battlefield, must learn to navigate an ecosystem crowded with unmanned systems that are smaller, cheaper and deadlier than ever before. The interaction itself seemed an anomaly. Iranian Shahed-136 drones are typically programmed to fly to set coordinates before launch, which makes them adept at striking targets that do not move, according to Kelly Campa, Middle East Team…

A Soros-backed nonprofit organized a demonstration outside of New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill’s office on Monday afternoon, saying the Democratic governor is spreading “MAGA propaganda” and not doing enough for the migrants detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at Delaney Hall in Newark, N.J.The protest reflected the backlash that Sherrill is facing by far-left members of her own party. On its donation page, Cooper River Indivisible directs donors to the politically powerful Indivisible Project, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit group that has been very active in backing Democratic politicians. SINGAPORE — U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth urged Asian allies on Saturday to ramp up military spending to counter China’s growing power and prevent its dominance in the region, warning of “rightful alarm” over its rapid military buildup.Hegseth, speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, Asia’s premier forum for defense leaders, militaries and diplomats, said a stronger, more self-reliant network of allies is essential to deter aggression and preserve the balance of power. “There is rightful alarm regarding China’s historic military buildup and the expansion of its military activities in the region and beyond,” he said.“A Pacific dominated by any hegemon would unravel the regional balance of power,” Hegseth said. “No state, including China, can impose its hegemony and hold the security or prosperity of our nation and our allies in question.” The U.S. expects its Asian allies and partners to increase defense spending to 3.5% of GDP as it pledged a $1.5 trillion investment in its military, the Pentagon chief said.“Less Shangri-La, more ships, more subs,” Hegseth said, stressing that the region needed greater defense capability than conferences. Allies want stability, not escalation, he said.“What they want, and what the United States delivers, is strength that is disciplined, resolve…
The New York Giants have a lot going on with the return of Odell Beckham Jr., along with the addition of two other receivers in JuJu Smith-Schuster and Braxton Berrios, so the controversy caused when Abdul Carter complained teammate Jaxson Dart supports President Donald Trump is on the back burner now. That’s how the Giants want it.That’s how Carter probably wants it because he definitely doesn’t need anyone doing any critical thinking about the episode.DART AND CARTER HUG IT OUT BUT NEITHER APOLOGIZES But WFAN host Craig Carton of the Carton Show with Chris McMonigle has apparently given the saga some thought and he shared some of those on Don’t@Me with Dan Dakich.”Abdul Carter had nothing to say when his coach did a press conference about his whole family meeting the president,” Carton said. “He had nothing to say when Saquon Barkley golfed with [Trump]. No, it’s white people. It’s white people that offend dumbasses.”It’s not just White people. Next up on the mid-year pre-Blade product reveal stage is Kershaw, with a slew of new blades hitting different price points, genres, and use categories. Celestion An accessible workhorse in the classic Kershaw fashion, the Celestion is compact but capable, with a 2.71-inch D2 blade and contoured, comfortable G-10 handles. Housed in that handle is a crossbar lock, and mounted on the off-side is a deep carry pocket clip that can be reversed to either side. Maneuver Built along a similar philosophy as the Celestion but with an even more accessible price point, the Maneuver is a bit bigger with a blade length of 3.15 inches. The steel is 8Cr13MoV, the lock a Crossbar, and the handles are made from GFN. Mini Iridium Fixed Blade The Mini Iridium makes the format leap from folder to fixed blade this year. A 3.1-inch wharnie blade, made from D2 tool steel, provides lots of workable real estate. The handle scales are black linen Micarta, laid on top of a full tang design, as you would expect. Misdirect XL Another line expansion here, the entry-level Misdirect is getting a big brother. The modern design is maintained but the blade length is upped to 3.37…

President Donald Trump on Sunday assailed a federal judge’s injunction halting aboveground construction of the White House ballroom, emphasizing the enhanced security features that form a key part of the project. In a post on Truth Social, the president wrote that U.S. District Judge Richard Leon, a George W. Bush appointee, should “stop playing games with America’s Security.” Trump added an ominous warning that if anything were to happen, the judge “will be responsible for the Death and Destruction caused to our Country.”“He has already created enough problems by allowing ‘Top Secret’ information to be released and exposed based on a ridiculous lawsuit started by a highly litigious woman (serial plaintiff!) whose ‘strolling,’ in her opinion,” Trump noted. The National Trust for Historic Preservation filed a lawsuit in December to block the $400 million project, arguing that it cannot proceed until it receives congressional authorization. Leon agreed at the end of March, but that decision was later paused by a federal appeals court, allowing work to resume in the interim pending further review. The president invoked national security as a justification for forging ahead. His Sunday post featured two AI-generated renderings of military-style drones stationed on the rooftop and flanked by snipers.…

The U.S. Air Force returned the T-38 Talon to flying status just over a week after implementing a fleetwide operational pause.Following a training flight incident, the force halted operations for all aircraft to guarantee the safety of aircrews while the mishap was investigated by a Safety Investigation Board. On May 12, a T-38 Talon II aircraft from Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, crashed in a rural area of Lamar County, Alabama, causing the Air Force to pause operations for all T-38 Talon aircraft a week later on May 19. The Air Force announced that the aircraft are still being inspected, but the service expects they will begin to return to flying status within the next few days, according to a Friday release, the day after the operational pause was lifted.Engineering and maintenance teams have created the finalized inspection process needed to ensure a “safe and thorough return to flight,” per the announcement. Former MSNBC host Joy Reid says she can no longer root for the New York Giants after quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Trump on stage.Reid first called Dart an “idiot” for using the word “pleasured” to describe meeting Trump.”I’m pleasured to meet, like what does that even mean?” she began. “First of all, he’s an idiot. U.S. Special Operations Command will begin fielding the MK24 Medium Range Gas Gun Assault before the end of the fiscal year, furthering SOCOM’s shift away from legacy cartridges like the 7.62mm NATO round, according to a recent report. SOCOM spokesman Navy Cmdr. Joe Vermette told Task & Purpose the MRGG-A will completely replace the MK17 SCAR. He added that SOCOM is “pursuing a rapid fielding method” to “multiple (Special Operational Force) components.” Last August, SOCOM awarded the Iowa-based LMT Defense a 10-year contract to the tune of $92 million for the MRGG-A. At SOCOM’s request, the rifle features a swappable barrel, allowing operators to change between firing 7.62mm and 6.5mm Creedmoor cartridges. “This thing isn’t just a gun, it’s a deployment package,” said Joe Hajny, an LMT Defense spokesman, about the multi-caliber chambering in an interview with Classic Firearms at this year’s Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show. Hajny added that SOCOM prioritized “the quick barrel change.” He explained the logic is that when SOCOM operators are “out with the partner forces that don’t have access to 6.5, the field environment might switch, they could change the caliber if need be.” With that, he said an operator can change the…
