NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The White House is turning up the heat on former President Joe Biden’s economic record as voters voice their discontent with current cost-of-living woes that President Donald Trump campaigned to bring down after his economic successes in his first term. “Putting an end to Joe Biden’s inflation and affordability crisis has been a Day One priority for President Trump,” White House spokesman Kush Desai told Fox News Digital Monday morning when asked about the White House message on affordability. “Every Trump administration official has been playing their part over the past year to deliver on this priority, from slashing costly regulations to securing historic drug pricing deals — efforts that have cooled inflation and raised real wages,” he continued. “Much work remains, but President Trump is highlighting the meaningful progress that his Administration has made and will continue to make to turn Joe Biden’s economic disaster around.” The Trump administration is facing a crisis over its economic messaging as Democrats increasingly, and effectively, lean into their message of “affordability” that helped deliver a series of election wins during the off-season cycle in November. JEN PSAKI MOCKS TRUMP, GOP OVER ‘AFFORDABILITY’ MESSAGE DURING COLBERT APPEARANCE Americans’ feelings…

David Flosi, who announced his retirement in an Oct. 13 email following his wife’s sudden death. The Joint Base Andrews ceremony was attended by service members, family members, friends and Air Force leadership. Flosi could not attend. The ceremony, which was live streamed on DVIDS, began with a group of service members singing the Star-Spangled Banner, followed by Air Force Chaplain Col. Christopher LaPack delivering the invocation.Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Kenneth Wilsbach presided and called those who have served as chief master sergeants an “elite group,” given that Wolfe has had only 20 predecessors in the role, making the ceremony “historic in its own right.”“The expectations are high. Leadership that inspires empathy, energy that never runs out, a work ethic that motivates and raises the standard for all senior enlisted leaders across…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The Israel Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency have exposed what they describe as a secret Hamas money-exchange network operating in central Turkey “under Iran’s direction,” according to documents and statements released this week.According to the intelligence released by the IDF and ISA, exiled Gazans based in Turkey have used the country’s financial infrastructure to move large sums of money for Hamas, with transfers totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. The agencies say the network operates in cooperation with the Iranian regime, transferring funds to Hamas and its senior officials and, according to Israel, helping the group rebuild its capabilities outside Gaza.TRUMP FACES MIDDLE EAST TEST AS NETANYAHU BALKS AT ERDOGAN’S GAZA TROOP HOPES The newly exposed documents include records of currency transfers amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars, which officials say represent only a small portion of the overall activity.According to the Israeli security agencies, the network receives, stores, and transfers Iranian funds from within Turkey. The IDF and ISA identified three Gazan operatives working in Turkey whom they say are central to the network: Tamer Hassan, described as a senior official in Hamas’s finance office in Turkey operating directly under Khalil…

Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis has warned that artificial general intelligence, or AGI, could arrive within the next decade. With it, there could be “catastrophic outcomes”. Some of the catastrophes Hassabis warned of could be cyberattacks on energy or water infrastructure. Ruling classes could use HGI to destroy necessary infrastructure, eliminating human beings without the need for war. Speaking at the Axios AI+ Summit in San Francisco last week, Hassabis described AGI as a model that exhibits “all the cognitive capabilities” of humans, including inventive and creative abilities, according to a report by RT.  He also argued that current large language models remain “jagged intelligences” with gaps in reasoning, long-term planning, and continual learning. However, he suggested that AGI could soon become a reality with continued scaling and “one or two more big breakthroughs.” However, Hassabis did say that the period leading up to AGI is likely to include tangible risks and “catastrophic outcomes,” such as cyberattacks on energy or water infrastructure. “That’s probably almost already happening now… maybe not with very sophisticated AI yet,” he said, calling this the “most obvious vulnerable vector.” He added that bad actors, autonomous agents, and systems that “deviate” from intended goals all require serious mitigation. “It’s non-zero,” he said of the possibility…

The ProblemYou bought a handgun, the one recommended by the guy at the gun shop. You even shot it at the indoor range where you bought it and hit your target, sort of … Most of the shots were on the target somewhere. After learning to shoot your new purchase, you decided to enter the realm of carrying the gun concealed. You took a concealed-carry course and bought a holster for everyday carry, but from the start you haven’t been able to connect the dots. Aside from talking to different people more experienced in carrying concealed than you, reading magazines and watching videos, you feel there is still something lacking. Three separate factors are most often emphasized: sights, trigger and gun fit, but you don’t see how they relate to one another—especially gun fit. In your mind you need to better understand why these factors are so important. The SolutionFitting a gun to a shooter’s hand(s) is paramount to the two main objectives of using a firearm, which are safe handling and being able to hit a target on demand. Both require a conscious awareness of the position of the gun’s muzzle and the shooter’s trigger finger to be effective.…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! A clinical psychologist is warning that the trend of cutting off family members over political differences, often promoted as “self-care” on social media, may actually fuel loneliness and worsen mental health.”Cutting off your social support, cutting off your family members, creating loneliness and isolation for yourself, is actually the worst thing you can do for your mental health,” Dr. Chloe Carmichael told Fox News Digital. “That’s like eating Twinkies for health food.”Carmichael, author of the new book “Can I Say That? Why Free Speech Matters and How to Use It Fearlessly,” argues that alienating loved ones over politics undermines family bonds, resilience, emotional well-being and freedom of expression.Carmichael points to an increasing number of progressive young Americans who are choosing to sever ties with parents or relatives over their support for President Donald Trump.  FORMER OBAMA SPEECHWRITER ADMITS SHUNNING CONSERVATIVE IN HIS FAMILY WAS A MISTAKE”It’s unfortunate that we’ve seen an incredible trend of younger family members typically cutting off more senior family members, sometimes even their own parents,” she said. She connects this trend to research from Tufts University showing liberals tend to report worse mental health than conservatives. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! CNN media analyst Brian Stelter said the fatal stabbing of 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska is being used as a “political symbol” by “pro-Trump activists.” Recently released video of Zarutska’s killing last month in Charlotte, North Carolina, spread across social media. The clip shows 34-year-old Decarlos Brown standing up behind her on a light rail train and stabbing her with a pocketknife. Brown has been charged with first-degree murder.”Most murders in the U.S. never become national news,” Stelter began Monday during a CNN segment. “This one’s got our attention for a couple of reasons. No. 1, first and foremost, the recent release of that gruesome video. Second, the energy from pro-Trump activists. They picked up on this video from local news and ran with it.” “It’s a little bit like the times when civil rights groups have raised attention about police-involved shootings. In this case, it is Trump-aligned influencers who are posting up a storm about this case on social media, really over the weekend,” Stelter continued. “Elon Musk, Charlie Kirk, other Trump-aligned figures succeeded in making this senseless death a symbol of big city crime.” TRUMP CONDEMNS ‘LUNATIC’ IN CHARLOTTE STABBING: ‘IF WE DON’T…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! If there’s one thing that Donald Trump absolutely, positively despises, it’s bad publicity. And after RFK Jr. got absolutely hammered at that hearing the other day–including by a member of the leadership, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso–he realized that he had to cut his losses. What was he going to do, say ignore those Republican senators, like Bill Cassidy, who’s a doctor, like Barrasso, when he says that vaccines work and he’s deeply concerned that Kennedy misled the Hill during his confirmation hearings? So after months of letting him “go wild,” in his words, Donald has broken with Bobby.REPUBLICAN DOCTORS CLASH WITH RFK JR OVER VACCINES IN TENSE SENATE SHOWDOWN”You have some vaccines that are so incredible. I think you have to be very careful when you say some people don’t have to be vaccinated…,” the president said.”Look, you have vaccines that work. They just pure and simple work. They’re not controversial at all, and I think those vaccines should be used, otherwise some people are going to catch it, and they endanger other people,”The president has had enough. What’s more, Kennedy’s family–including his sister Kerry and former congressman Joe Kennedy III–demanded he resign, along with…

The San Francisco 49ers kept Christian McCaffrey on the field in their 17-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks, but another star offensive weapon is expected to miss multiple weeks after leaving the game early.Tight end George Kittle, who scored the team’s first touchdown of the year on Sunday in Seattle, left the NFC West bout with a hamstring injury. That injury is expected to keep him out three to five weeks, according to NFL Network.Head coach Kyle Shanahan made the announcement on Monday after the win, saying that Kittle would miss a “few weeks.” Shanahan added that no decision has been made about placing Kittle on injured reserve. While Kittle isn’t going to be playing this upcoming week, there is a chance that starting quarterback Brock Purdy may not play, either.Shanahan said that Purdy is dealing with left shoulder and toe injuries, and he wouldn’t guarantee his quarterback would be able to play against the New Orleans Saints. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The first three quarters weren’t pretty for Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy in his first NFL start on Monday night, but all that matters is what happens in the fourth quarter. McCarthy led the Vikings on a thrilling comeback, scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Chicago Bears, 27-24, on the road to begin the 2025 NFL season. Last season, McCarthy was on the sideline with a season-ending meniscus injury suffered during preseason. He watched as Sam Darnold led the Vikings to a 14-3 record, but McCarthy knew heading into this campaign it was his turn to get the job done at quarterback in head coach Kevin O’Connell’s dynamic offense.  McCarthy was having some trouble doing so to start this game, as the Bears’ defense, led by new coordinator Dennis Allen, was drawing up the right pressures to fluster the young signal caller. He was only able to get Will Reichard into field goal range twice in the first half, while Caleb Williams and the Bears’ offense got off to a hot start under new head coach Ben Johnson. But crunch time in the fourth quarter, with the Vikings down 17-6, McCarthy…
