U.S. service members will receive a 3.8% pay increase beginning Jan. 1 under the final version of the annual defense bill announced by the House and Senate on Sunday night. The proposed fiscal 2026 National Defense Authorization Act makes several changes to Defense Department personnel policy, including a 3.8% across-the-board military pay raise consistent with the Trump administration’s proposed budget request, as well as personnel policy alterations designed to improve troops’ quality of life. Under the bill, service members with families not only will receive a pay raise, they also will get more money each month when they deploy or are separated from their families for 30 days or more for training or other reasons. The legislation increases family separation allowance from $250 to $300 per month. RELATEDIt also allows expecting parents to use their parental leave within two years after the birth or adoption of a child and aims to make improvements to military and family housing. “We’re pleased to announce that the House and Senate Armed Services Committees have reached a bipartisan, bicameral agreement on the FY26 NDAA that supports service members and strengthens our national defense,” chairmen and ranking members of the House and Senate Armed Services…
Something’s fishy about this knife – and it’s the name. The Dace is a new Boker Plus flipper from returning design collaborator Joe Mangiafico, hitting a sub-$100 price point and delivering a solid suite of everyday carry specs. This is not the first time a knife has been named after a marine creature, but it’s probably the first time that the humble dace has been so honored. To be honest, it’s not the most visually inspiring of fish – more or less just your average-looking specimen, but evidently a fish that is a favorite of anglers, particularly in Europe where the dace is a native species. And, wouldn’t you know it, Mangiafico is himself an angler. The clip’s ano matches that on the pivot. He created a knife much more striking than its inspiration, with a clean ‘n’ mean drop point, with a 2.87-inch length and a stylin’ swedge that runs across the spine before meeting some finger jimping a little past the halfway point up there. Opened solely via flipper (much like a fish), the Dace’s blade is made from Nitro-V, a reliable modern stainless that sits comfortably in the upper echelons of non-super steel performance. The handle is…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The White House is turning up the heat on former President Joe Biden’s economic record as voters voice their discontent with current cost-of-living woes that President Donald Trump campaigned to bring down after his economic successes in his first term. “Putting an end to Joe Biden’s inflation and affordability crisis has been a Day One priority for President Trump,” White House spokesman Kush Desai told Fox News Digital Monday morning when asked about the White House message on affordability. “Every Trump administration official has been playing their part over the past year to deliver on this priority, from slashing costly regulations to securing historic drug pricing deals — efforts that have cooled inflation and raised real wages,” he continued. “Much work remains, but President Trump is highlighting the meaningful progress that his Administration has made and will continue to make to turn Joe Biden’s economic disaster around.” The Trump administration is facing a crisis over its economic messaging as Democrats increasingly, and effectively, lean into their message of “affordability” that helped deliver a series of election wins during the off-season cycle in November. NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! Deion Sanders found himself in a quarterback conundrum on Saturday, but he said he “(knew) exactly how I’m going to handle it.”The answer appeared to be revealed on Tuesday. The University of Colorado scored big when five-star quarterback Julian Lewis committed to the Buffaloes last November after decommitting from USC.Sanders gave Lewis his first taste of college action this past weekend against the University of Delaware in a de facto quarterback battle where Week 1 starter Kaidon Salter, Lewis himself, and Ryan Staub, who entered the season as the third-stringer, all rotated drives. All three quarterbacks saw the field in what essentially was a tryout. Salter, who started again, got the first two drives. Lewis entered, and his two drives ended in punts. Then Staub came in, and his first two full drives ended in touchdowns. In total, Salter went 13-for-16 for 102 yards, and Staub went 7-for-10 for 156 yards and two touchdowns. They took the remaining drives after Lewis’ pair.Staub is now reportedly parlaying that performance into a start this Friday against Houston in Colorado’s Big 12 opener.Staub was Shedeur Sanders’ backup in each of the previous two seasons — he even honored…

The White House has dismissed Donald Trump’s birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein as “fake news.” The letter was published on Monday and almost immediately dismissed by the ruling class. According to a report by RT, the note from Trump to Epstein was published on Monday as part of congressional documents. It included typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman, ending with the words: “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.” It appeared to be signed “Donald” below the waistline of the drawing. “No one is falling for this BS,” Vice President J.D. “We know that existing treatments can help the majority of traumatized veterans, but none works for everyone,” said Brian Dempsey, government affairs director at Wounded Warrior Project, during a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday. “We want to ensure that policy and science are moving together so that new treatments are being studied safely and effectively, and decisions are being made based on evidence, informed research and deep consideration of veteran health and safety.
