NASCAR is in California this weekend for some street racing at San Diego’s Naval Base Coronado, and one fan decided to really get close to the (thankfully, red-flagged) action. The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series hit the track for its race on Saturday, and the race had more than its fair share of incidents. The biggest came on a restart — because we all know that cautions breed cautions — and saw Sam Mayer take an absolutely monstrous hit.NASCAR TEAM UNVEILS GEORGE H.W. BUSH TRIBUTE LIVERY FOR HISTORIC FIRST RACE ON A MILITARY INSTALLATIONThe race was red-flagged, so crews could clean up the mess and inspect the barriers. While waiting on the track for the race to resume, Sheldon Creed, driver of the No. 00 Haas Factory Team car, unexpectedly got some company.A fan scaled a fence, possibly several fences, to get to Creed, chatted with him for a moment, then took off back over the fences and into the crowd. And he did it all in flip-flops.You’ve got to hand it to him. The climbing in flip-flops was impressive.Creed said on the radio that he thought his new pal was “wasted,” which, let’s be honest, tracks. It’s not usually the sort of thing…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! ESPN star Stephen A. Smith has long been one of the New York Knicks’ loudest critics, but the New York City native struck a different tone this week.Days after the Knicks won their first NBA title in more than five decades, the longtime “First Take” host joined Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart for a live taping of their “Roommates Show” podcast. The event was livestreamed from inside the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden on Friday, one day after the Knicks’ long-awaited ticker-tape championship parade.Smith appeared to face boos shortly after he was welcomed to the stage. The noise grew louder when Hart said he had kept mental receipts of Smith’s past Knicks criticism. One of Hart’s notes centered on Smith’s claim that Villanova’s 2016 national championship roster lacked NBA-caliber prospects. Hart, Brunson and Mikal Bridges later became NBA draft picks and helped fuel the Knicks’ title run. Brunson signed with New York in 2022, a move Smith quickly dismissed by declaring the guard “isn’t the answer” for the Knicks.JALEN BRUNSON’S SISTER BLASTS ESPN AFTER STEPHEN A SMITH KNICKS RANT: ‘UTTERLY RIDICULOUS’After revisiting Smith’s past comments, Hart pointed to the championship trophy…

It has been almost a year since the death of heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, but icons like him are immortal in some ways. His music and overall legacy obviously live on, but now he’s going to live on in another, high-tech way.Did someone order an AI-powered, interactive Ozzy hologram?!VAL KILMER’S CONTROVERSIAL AI RESURRECTION SPARKS BACKLASH AS FANS FUME: ‘IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL’ Ozzy passed away on July 22, 2025, just a couple of weeks after he performed for the final time, both as a solo artist and as a member of Black Sabbath. Now, while speaking at Licensing Expo 2026, Ozzy’s son, Jack, and wife, Sharon, revealed that they have partnered with hologram company HYPERREAL to create an AI-generated hologram of the late Prince of Darkness.”It’s kind of scary how it’s really very accurate,” Jack said, per License Global. “He will exist digitally as himself for as long as we have computers. Technology has come such a long way to where it’s almost drag and drop. You could shoot a template for a commercial… literally prompt what you want Digital Ozzy to do in that commercial, and you just drop it in. It’s that simple now.” Technology doesn’t really surprise me…

An all-female, bipartisan delegation of U.S. senators is traveling to the Arctic on Friday to reaffirm America’s commitments to allies against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the High North.Led by Sens. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, the group will visit Canada, Greenland, Norway and Iceland to “examine U.S. and allied Arctic security, infrastructure and research capabilities amid growing geopolitical competition in the region from Russia and China,” according to a press release. The itinerary is set to include briefings at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland on Arctic defense and strategic competition in the region.President Donald Trump’s administration has sought to expand Washington’s strategic footprint in Greenland. Earlier this year, Trump suggested that U.S. forces could seize the semiautonomous Danish territory on national security grounds. His push elicited a sharp rebuke from officials in both Greenland and Denmark, with the latter rejecting any potential for negotiation or territorial acquisition. The episode also roiled relations between the Trump administration and traditional European allies more broadly. The all-female delegation that sets off on Friday is also expected to meet with U.S. military personnel, Indigenous communities, allied officials, Arctic researchers and regional leaders on emerging operational and strategic dynamics across the region. Sens. Kirsten…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! What’s old is new again across the country at dozens of Pizza Hut locations that are bringing back the old-school décor of their dining rooms. The red cups, salad bar, checkerboard tables and Tiffany-style stained-glass lamps customers loved in the 1980s and ’90s have returned to 38 of the 93 Pizza Hut franchises the Kansas-based Daland Corporation runs, Inc.com reported. The retro remodels are called “Pizza Hut Classic.” They include promotional materials for the “Book It!” program the chain established in 1984 and still runs to incentivize children to read more by rewarding them with pizza.AMERICA’S BEST-TASTING PIZZA CHAIN IS AN OLD-SCHOOL FAVORITE, SURVEY FINDS”[The Pizza Hut] brand is kind of iconic to the country,” Daland’s president, Tim Sparks, told Fox News on “America Reports.” Brothers Dan and Frank Carney founded Pizza Hut in Kansas in 1958 after borrowing $600 from their mother. “They named it Pizza Hut, because their sign only had room for eight letters,” the chain’s website says.Today, there are more than 16,000 Pizza Huts in more than 100 countries. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is casting new doubt on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s relevance to the United States after key allies recoiled from backing Washington’s “Operation Epic Fury.” Rubio, speaking to reporters following a meeting with NATO foreign ministers in Sweden on Friday, contended that the raison d’etre of NATO was undermined when allies refused to allow the U.S. to use installations on their soil during a war.“One of the arguments I always made was that these bases in the region provided us logistical options that we wouldn’t otherwise have,” Rubio said. “And when some of those bases are denied to you — during a conflict that we’re involved in — then you question whether that value is still there.” The U.S.-NATO relationship has been increasingly strained in the wake of the war in Iran, which began on Feb. 28. President Donald Trump believes that NATO allies should have offered much more assistance, especially with regard to reopening the Strait of Hormuz. In basic terms, several of those nations say the war, started by Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu without their consultation, is not their problem. “I was never swayed by NATO,” Trump said in an…

We’ve been in a bit of a fixed blade mood since we covered some the new models in that genre from Civivi/We and TOPS – and today we’re looking at one from Boker, the outdoors-focused Overnighter. Florian Prößl is the custom maker behind the Overnighter design. Prößl works under the shop name FP Knives, and unsurprisingly the man has a way with fixed blades. Like many who focus on the fixies, this Bavarian bladesmith has quite an extensive portfolio, rife with variations, and it’s easy to get distracted by the many handsome pieces he has created – but if you manage to stay focused you’ll notice that some of Prößl’s customs certainly resemble the Overnighter. Nothing crazy going on with the sheath Perhaps its most distinctive feature is the 4.57-inch blade. The very wide stance gives it an august presence, perfect for moving contemplatively through the woods, but there almost spike-like jimping and the low but noticeable harpoon swedge imbue this workhorse with some unexpected, but most certainly welcome, attitude. The prototype images on Boker’s website (and used in our article here) say the blade is 440C, but the final product is actually made from D2 semi stainless. Looking at a…

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! A top Senate Republican is publicly pressuring President Donald Trump against pursuing what he described as a weak Iran deal as administration officials signal negotiations with Tehran are making progress. Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued a sharply worded warning Thursday urging Trump not to abandon military pressure on the Iranian regime in favor of diplomacy.”We are at a moment that will define President Trump’s legacy,” Wicker said in a statement. “His instincts have been to finish the job he started in Iran, but he is being ill advised to pursue a deal that would not be worth the paper it is written on.”REPUBLICANS URGE TRUMP TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON HIS PLAN TO DISMANTLE IRAN’S NUCLEAR CAPABILITIES”Our commander-in-chief needs to allow America’s skilled armed forces to finish the destruction of Iran’s conventional military capabilities and reopen the strait,” Wicker went on. “Further pursuit of an agreement with Iran’s Islamist regime risks a perception of weakness. We must finish what we started. It is past time for action.”The remarks expose growing tension inside Republican national security circles as the Trump administration weighs whether to pursue a negotiated agreement…

The U.S. Marine Corps is testing new ways to combine low-cost drones with traditional aircraft, having recently paired a UH-1Y Venom helicopter with an attack drone in a recent Southern California exercise. During the test, Marines launched a Neros Archer first-person-view, or FPV, drone from the ground before transferring control to operators aboard a helicopter orbiting miles away, the Corps announced in a statement last week, saying that the move was a step towards integrating inexpensive drones into aviation operations. The goal, according to the release, was to see if aircraft like the UH-1Y Venom and AH-1Z Viper could extend the reach of FPV drones, which let operators watch a live feed of unmanned aircraft system from a screen or goggles. “The primary objective was to test the feasibility of a non-kinetic drop and deployment of a first-person view drone from a moving helicopter, which we were able to do today,” said Capt. Quinton Thornbury, a UH-1Y Venom pilot with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 169, Marine Air Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. “From there, validate that we can control the maneuver of that drone from the back of the aircraft.” The service said it used the Neros…

The NBA can’t seem to get out of its own way. I’ve said something along these lines before, but they need to figure out some sort of PR or marketing campaign to help them. Maybe they just need some rule adjustments or enforcement. Whatever the solution is, they have to find a way to get people to appreciate the great games that are happening instead of just talking about the referees and flopping. No series has seen as much of that talk as this one between the Thunder and Spurs. The Oklahoma City Thunder are seven games away from winning back-to-back championships. Former champions who have accomplished this feat often will tell you that it is harder than getting to the mountain top the first time. The Thunder are still the favorites, and there is good reason. They have a deep team, and it took a historic, double-overtime performance from a freak-of-nature to hand them their first loss in the postseason. The Thunder tied it up with relative ease in the second game of the series, but most of the narrative was not around how well they played. Instead, it was around how much the Thunder flopped and how dirty they…

There were no four-leaf clovers mounted to the turrets, but an Irish Defense Forces crew still managed to pull off one of the biggest upsets at the U.S. Army’s premier armor competition this month. The Irish soldiers beat American crews to claim first place in the Bradley Fighting Vehicle division at the Sullivan Cup, despite the Irish Army not operating any Bradleys of its own.The Sullivan Cup, hosted at Fort Benning, Georgia, is a weeklong event that brings together tank and Bradley crews from across the U.S. military and allied countries to test teams’ gunnery, maneuvering and maintenance skills, as well as physical fitness under difficult conditions. The Irish team bested a crew from the U.S. Army’s 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team to win the Bradley portion of the biennial competition.“It was embarrassing for them but they came up after and shook our hands. They knew how professional we’d held ourselves,” Sgt. Shane Molloy, the team’s gunner, told The Irish Times on Thursday, adding “they enjoyed our company. We enjoyed theirs.” In an interview released last week by Fort Benning, the team — with neat green berets and red and white ribbons around their necks — also credited their success, in…

Hantavirus was found in high levels in multiple rodent species across the Pacific Northwest. While this isn’t incredibly alarming news, some mainstream media outlets are reporting that the virus could pose a higher risk than initially thought. WHO Chief Claims More Cases Of Hantavirus Are Coming According to a report by Fox News, in summer 2023, researchers collected samples from 189 deer mice, voles, and chipmunks at eight farms and two forest sites. Researchers from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine found unexpectedly high levels of Sin Nombre virus (SNV), which is the strain most strongly linked to hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS), among local rodent populations. Nearly 30% of sampled rodents showed evidence of prior exposure, and about 10% had active infections, according to the study press release. The rodents that tested positive were from both agricultural environments (farms) and natural settings (wilderness). –Fox News This does not mean that humans are more or less likely to contract the disease. “We were surprised both by how common the virus was locally and by how little data existed for the Northwest,” said Stephanie Seifert, the study’s corresponding author and principal investigator of the Molecular Ecology of Zoonotic and Animal Pathogens…
